Your Emotions & Leadership

Are we aware that our energy is locked inside our emotions? We spoke in our previous article about need of energy for Leaders.

So, emotional awareness is must.  What are emotions?Simply said, emotions are how we feel, we may have all the pleasures of life but we might not feel good if, e.g. our near and dear ones are unhappy. How we feel depends on many factors that impact our lives; these are primarily – Physical, Social, Financial, Spiritual, Mental and Vocational.

If any of these aspects are not doing well, we will not feel great about ourselves. In other way, balancing them is a great way to live life. However, it is rare that all these facets of life would be balanced in a person, hence is the need of emotional balance. Most people are not aware that it is possible to choose our emotions and create different results in life and career.

An easy way to balance emotions Emotional awareness is the key to balance how you feel most of the time. If you are thinking most of the time on unpleasant things in your life, we will continue to feel bad most of the time, and we will feel tired and exhausted, not having energy to do anything else.

So if your attention is going towards unwanted situations in life, you have to learn how to take your attention out from there and focus on what you want to create or more productive areas in life. An easy way to improve your emotional awareness is doing regular meditation, say twice a day for just 15 minutes.

How you will benefit You will good about yourself if you maintain emotional balance, have energy for other better things in life, e.g. pursuing your dreams, having great health and social relations.
